Mom’s long journey with dementia ended peacefully with loving family and devoted care staff by her side (thank you Bonnie). Predeceased by her husband Bill and son Mark, she is survived by her daughter Maryanne, son Paul (Shannon), grandson Darcy, daughter-in-law Debbie, and nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Kenora, Ontario where she worked as a secretary, bookkeeper, stenographer for several years, and had a real gift with numbers. In 1965, Mom moved from Kenora to Duncan with her young family. She loved to dance, travel and had her own sense of style. She will be remembered as a devoted sister, loving mother, grandmother, loyal wife and trusted friend. Thank you to the Chemainus Health Care Centre and all the staff who cared for her. To honour Mom, there will be a graveside gathering at Mountain View Cemetery on September 25, 2024 at 1 pm.
