Litza Johni Riber Slemko, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Duncan BC, with her family by her side, on January 8, 2015. She was born on July 7, 1938, in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of the late Gunnar and Greta Marlyk. She is survived by her loving husband Tom of 57 years. Also by her four children; Rick (Sandra), Ron (Theresa), Randy (Susan), and Wendy, her grandchildren; Amberlyn, Danny, Christine, Stephen, Connie, Michael, Josh, Kate, Kaylee, and Christopher, five great-grandchildren, and her two brothers; Riber (Mona) and Brian Marlyk.
Litza loved lawn bowling and was an active member of Juan de Fuca, Cowichan, Nanaimo, and Qualicum Lawn Bowling Clubs along with her husband. She was a loving wife and wonderful Mother and will be greatly missed by both family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Litza may be made to the Cowichan Lawn Bowling Club.
