Lyn Evans (Taffy), 74, of Crofton BC, marched home on October 25, 2012. He was born in Drumheller, Alberta on April 22, 1938 and will be missed by his beloved wife Sylvia of 48 years. He served in the Military for 13 years with many tours overseas. He was an avid reader, a fantastic dancer and loved ballroom dancing, enjoyed all aspects of model airplanes, playing music, and would have fished 24/7. His favorite day of the week was Wednesday, “pasta night” which he loved as all the family who could, would attend. He was a loner and quiet in many ways but, was dedicated to his family first and foremost. Lyn is survived by his wife Sylvia, his son Thomas, his 4 daughters Amber, Cary, Patricia and Rhonda, 11 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and one brother David Evans and many other family and friends.
The family of Lyn Evans wishes to extend many thanks to a caring efficient Community Home Care and Nursing unit which gave him exceptional and compassionate care. We would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to the First Responders who were first on the scene when they were needed on numerous occasions. We would like to thank Terrie Pickering from First Memorial Funeral Home in Duncan, BC for her efficient and compassionate help with making our family arrangements.
A celebration of Lyns’ life will be held at Crofton Senior Society Hall located at 1507 Joan Avenue, Crofton, BC, on November 3, 2012 between the hours of 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
