
Norman was born to Danish immigrant parents, Carl and Marie Quist, and grew up on the family farm in Westholme, where he dedicated his life to farming and family. Known for his strong work ethic and quiet determination, he approached life with resilience, vision, and a deep commitment to the land he loved. Through years of hard work and perseverance, he built a lasting legacy alongside his family.
Norman is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lois Quist, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, and by his children: Doug (Nancy), Louise (Rick), David (Cheryl), and Carol (Trevor). He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom were an important and cherished part of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Marie Quist; his sister Bertha, his sister, Mary Nicholas; his brother, Byrd Quist; and his grandson, Michael Roberts.
A celebration of Norman’s life will be held on June 6th from 1pm to 4pm at Doug’s house, 4747 Trans-Canada Hwy, Duncan.
In keeping with Norman’s wishes, no formal celebration of life will be held but come and say a few words of the memories you had with him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Norman’s memory may be made to the Duncan 4-H Dairy or Sheep club.
Norman will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude by his family and all who knew him.
