RIP, Shirley.  My life is richer for having you as a friend

On behalf of the Cowichan Valley Arthritis Society, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Shirley's family.  Shirley joined our group in November 2004 and attended many of our monthly meetings, as well as our twice weekly exercise sessions.  I last saw her a few weeks after her joint replacement surgery and she was looking forward to coming back to exercises when she was properly healed.  She will be missed by our group.

Dear Tina, Dean, Bobby and Archie:  We are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.  We hadn't seen her in years but we have fond memories of the great times we shared together.  Lots of fun and laughter.  Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Tina, Dean, Bobby, Archie & Families:  We are so sorry to hear of Aunty Shirley's passing.  Ken & I have happy memories of her last couple visits to mom's in Thunder Bay.  In true "James" fashion, she kept us well tuned in to her many adventurous stories. Mom, you were one of a kind.  The highs were high and the lows were low.  Whenever you were knocked down, you'd get right back up and start kicking butt.  There are lots of things I didn't agree with in your life, just as I am sure there were lots of things in my life you didn't agree with.  I do it my way, and you did it your way, and perhaps that is the gene we shared.  For that, I am thankful.  Don't slow down now.  I suspect you still have lots of work to do upstairs.  Find dad and at least talk to him, then find Babe and organize a big dinner party and kick up your heels together.  xo

Dear Tina and family, I couldn't believe it when I saw your mom's obit this morning. Hadn't talked to her all summer, but was thinking of calling now that things are slowing down. Would love to talk to you. I will never forget our writing class we took together. Thought we might get to do it again some day. Your mother had so many interesting stories to tell. I hope she has some of them written down yet. I will miss her.
