Delores Silvas Patterson, 76 of Wilmer, TX, passed away June 19, 2020 due to complications from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Known to many as Dee, she married the late Don Patterson in 1972 and together they lived in many places in the Dallas County area, before finally settling in Wilmer, TX. Dee is survived by her two children, Kim Patterson of Wilmer and Annettee DiCarlo, and spouse Paul, of Dallas. She is also survived by her beloved grandsons, Charlie and Tony. One of her first jobs was as an elevator operator in the Corrigan Tower in the 60's in Downtown Dallas. From there she worked as an executive assistant for several companies until she retired in 2011 to be with her husband. She was a valued employee and her coworkers always became her friends. She loved country music, and in particular George Strait, but nothing more than her fur babies. She was an avid dog lover and often she would come home from the store with a stray or lost dog. At one time, she had 11 dogs! She was a supporter of the SPCA and Military Veterans charities. She leaves behind her daughter Kim, her housemate, her caregiver, and her best friend. She was lovingly taken care of by Kim after receiving a diagnosis of ALS earlier this year. She will be missed by all that knew her. She has been cremated and her instructions were to have no memorial services. She has left beautiful and detailed information for her children and grandchildren, on how to personally carry out her final wishes for her remains. She would be very happy if donations were made to the SPCA to help other fur babies.
