Kind, loving, caring is how to best describe my cousin Gene.
He was amazing.

This is so difficult...even though I know Papa through playing World of Warcraft, he is like family! I've known Papa for years and feel so very blessed and lucky to have had the opportunity to meet him and Vicki at Blizzcon a few years back.  He treats EVERYONE like family when you are around him; no Turtle was left out the entire weekend.  From the moment Papa picked us up at the airport until it was time to leave, he and Vicki's room was the focal point.  God bless you Vicki for putting up with us!  Papa had such a caring heart, always willing to help anyone when needed, go the extra little bit when necessary, or even drop out to give someone who needed it more the opportunity to give it a go.  Always thinking of others and the guild before himself.  He was one of our officers, so his wisdom and counsel was sought after by me and others many times to keep the guild flowing like a well oiled clock, even though he would tell you otherwise.  Our voice of calm and reason.  He will be SO missed.

Words can’t describe how much Gene meant to me and my sons.  Their father moved out of state and was not around.  Gene was their baseball coach but in reality their surrogate father.  He would include them with Eddie, Heath and Rhett on whatever adventure he was planning.  So from the bottom of my heart, I will always be grateful for your love and kindness to Matt Cason, Brad Cason and me.   We love you Gene!

As I drove Fielder & Cooper to the hospital, I asked Fielder what he thought the coolest thing about Papa Geno was. He replied, "Unlike most grandparents, he was Tech Savy and that he loved playing video games with all the grandsons."
One of my fondest memories is of him dressed as Santa Claus delivering gifts to the grands. The surprised look on my grandaughter' s  face (Logan) was priceless. That was such a loving kind gesture of Gene & Vicki to include her. 

He and Vicki have always been welcoming to the Pool family as they are with everyone. 

He really seemed to enjoy taking his mother to all of her great grands activities. They were such good cheerleaders. 

I appreciate his service to our country and especially the gift of his youngest son Rhett, my son in law. He is such a good husband and father and I know he really appreciated Gene's 
assistance in coaching Cooper's  Baseball team last year. R I P Edwin Eugene. You will be missed. 

Papa was a great guy and he will be missed. I played World of Warcraft with him for years and enjoyed discussing strategies with him about how to play better. I finally got to meet him in person a few years ago, and I still remember him picking me up from the airport for BlizzCon. He was as kind, helpful and giving in person, as he was in the game. His hotel was the main hangout place for our group of friends that met up for this event. He helped get guild(team) shirts made for all of us, took group photos and sent them to us in the mail, and he made it a trip I will never forget. My deepest sympathies to his family, and my gratitude to them, for sharing him with me.

Watching the geandkids games. Good memories.  Always enjoyed my visits to Dallas.  
You were always there to help anyone who needed it. You served your country and i thank you.  Took great care of your family. The bestest brother in law ever.

Eddie and Sarah my heart breaks for you right now. I pray that God will give you a peace and comfort that only he can give. I only met your dad once or twice but I remember Sarah telling me about this really great guy she played wow with and he introduced her to his son......
    Thank you for his service and sacrifice to our country. I know he will live on in the hearts of his family and especially Liam and Rowen.

Preceded in death my his father Emmet Wells and his granddaughter Chloe Marie Cunningham.

Survived by his Mother Wuanita Wells, his Amazing wife Victoria Wells, son Eddie Wells and his wife Sarah, daughter Melissa Cunningham and her husband Aaron, son Heath Wells and his wife Brandi, son Andy Meyer and his wife Kirsten, and son Rhett Wells and his wife Rebecca.  Also 12 beautiful grandchildren. Leighton 16, Steven 14, Jackson 14, Fielder 13, Sophie 12, Ethan 12, Libby 11, Kenzie 11, Cooper 10, Max 10, Liam 2, Roen 7 months and many other family members and close friends.
