Ladislado “Junior” Guardiola passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his home in Cedar Hill, TX surrounded by family and friends. Junior succumbed after a long battle with lung disease. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who took joy in the smiles of children and other simple delights in life. He had an indomitable spirit and zest for life that impacted all of those who knew him.
He was born in Rosebud, Texas in 1948 to Ladislado Guardiola, Sr. and Maria Saucedo. He was one of six boys. The family moved around throughout Central Texas and Northern Louisiana until settled into his home in Cedar Hill, TX. He held many different jobs but enjoyed those that allowed him to be outside and use his hands. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to play pool and darts. His favorite hobbies were watching westerns and working in his yard.
He is proceeded in death by his mother, father, brother, Raymond Guardiola, and son, Jackie Marsh. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeannie Gail Guardiola, his daughter, Danielle Soliz and her husband, Richard Soliz, his son Adislado Marsh and his wife, Ronda Marsh, his son Rob Marsh and his husband, Todd Jakub, and his daughter, Valerie Rackley and her husband Joseph Rackley, as well as four brothers, numerous cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family acknowledges the kind care received from Hospice Plus. The family will receive visitation at David Clayton and Sons Funeral Home at 200 W. Center Street in Duncanville, TX on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life ceremony will follow at the funeral home starting at 12:00 p.m. The family encourages you to share stories and memories. Graveside services will be at Little Bethel Memorial Park at 1803 Cedar Hill Rd. in Duncanville at 1:30 p.m.
