Mark (Big Dog) Sorenson

Mark (Big Dog) Sorenson, 64, went to his heavenly home on May 1, 2015 after a short acute battle with illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Mark was born to Bill Linehan and the late Beverly Brunsvold-Drake, in Minneapolis, MN on April 25, 1951. He was raised by Al Sorenson. Mark was blessed with a large, loving family. He married his best friend, Mary Sorenson, on December 5, 1981 in Dallas, TX. He served as Pastor, along with his wife, of Straight Street Ministries for 23 years and was current President of Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter of Soldiers For Jesus motorcycle club. He had a passion for the Lord, family, souls, motorcycles, guitars and numerous other hobbies. Mark is survived by his wife Mary; his sons Shawn, Chad and wife Heidi, Eric and wife Alberta, John Paul and wife Vanessa, Seth and wife Suzanne; his daughters Lynn and husband Dave, Naomi and husband Russell, Sara and husband Steven; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a multitude of spiritual sons and daughters. He is preceded in death by his mother Lee Drake, his brother Paul, and niece Stella. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to one of his legacies Straight Street Ministries, 1001 S.
