Ronald Eugene Tei was born on June 23, 1949 in Tacoma, Washington to June and Arthur Tei. He died on October 12, 2019 in Ft Worth, Texas. After moving to Texas at the age of 10 with his mother and sister, Tina, Ron attended Thomas Jefferson High School and then served his country as a Marine. He kept thousands of Dallas-area residents fed as a catering truck owner/operator for many years and later worked for Cornwell Tools and as a private delivery courier. Ron always made time to coach his children’s sports teams, even when he had to be up at 2:30AM for work. After he “retired” from coaching, he enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports. Ron was a diehard Cowboys and Rangers fan, and loved watching games with his family. He never met a stranger.
Ron was predeceased by his parents and grandson, David. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children Trish & Skip Carter, Ron II & Laura, Kim & Shawn Treibly, Jessica Tei-Smith & Marty, Ryan & Brittany, and Aaron & Candace; grandchildren: Katy, Dustin, Madelyn, Bryce, Brett, Leslie, Hannah, Delaney, Christopher, Dylan, Maverick, and Ron III; and great-grandchildren Blake, Landon, and Keith. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Jim Connolly and their family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Humane Society in honor of Ron’s beloved Titan and Pumpkin.
