Veronica Sue Carlile

Sue, affectionately known as Gran Gran and Moma, was born of Oral Vernon Smith and Clara Pearl Wood Smith on November 22, 1945 in Chickasha, OK. She enjoyed reading, napping, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Fairmeadows Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities for 20+ years. If you were ever blessed to have attended a church service or concert with her, you were blessed to have heard her sweet, yet strong voice. Sue attended Levelland High School where she met and later married Lonnie Wayne Carlile. They were married on November 20, 1961 and were blessed with 3 children, Lonnie Dee Carlile, Pearla Dawn Carlile Webb, and Joseph Lee Wayne Carlile. Sue later attended Midland Jr College, where she obtained her Paralegal degree. Sue was a devout Christian with a passion to help others. She is preceded by Lonnie Wayne Carlile and brother Bennie Smith.

She is survived by her children, Lonnie Dee Carlile and wife Larisa Carlile, Pearla Dawn Carlile Webb and husband Mike Webb, Joseph Lee Wayne Carlile and wife Michelle Carlile.

Grandchildren: Pamela Lara Wyatt and husband Chris Wyatt, Dalton Moss, Tanner Holt, Joseph Carlile, Jonothon Carlile, Turianne Phillips, Carlie Webb, Bethany Carlile, Jaci Carlile and Great granddaughter Lara-Grace Wyatt.

Siblings: Ronald Smith and wife Glenna Smith, Philburn Smith, Bobbie Wesley, Charlene Smith, Jolene Smith, Arlan Smith and wife Ann Smith, and Linda Pudgurney.

Viewing will be Friday, July 20, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, followed by the memorial services Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 11:00a - 12:00p, at David Clayton & Sons Funeral Home, 200 W Center St, Duncanville, TX 75116. The committal service will be immediately after at Little Bethel Memorial Park, 1803 Cedar Hill Rd, Duncanville, Texas 75137.
