Beatrice Sidgwick, beloved wife of the late Ralph Sidgwick, then long time spouse of the late George Calder, died on May 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, to James and Jane Hinton , Beatrice lived a life marked by grace, quiet strength, and enduring love for her family and community. The latter illustrated by her devotion to the Presbyterian church and her unwavering support for the Ti-Cats. She was also an active member of her Girls Club - her group of friends since elementary and high school. They enjoyed countless memorable experiences right up until recently. She was a devoted mother to her two children, James and Anthea, kindhearted mother-in-law to Chrissy and Jason, and a proud grandmother to her cherished grandson, Myles. Beatrice was a beloved aunt to David, Elizabeth, Rachael & Adam. In addition, selflessly supported by her brother-in-law, Rob (& Cathie). She was predeceased by her dear sisters, Wilma and Jean, and carried their memory with her always. Beatrice will be remembered for her kindness, her deep sense of compassion, and the countless ways she made the world a better place simply by being in it. Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 615 Main St. E., Hamilton, on Tuesday, June 3, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 4, in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are appreciated, however, Beatrice also loved supporting her church and community, so donations can be made to either The Salvation Army, or Mission Services.
