Harry passed peacefully into life eternal with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on July 19, 2025 at the age of 94.
Born on a farm in the rural village of Stanaičiai, Lithuania, Harry and his family settled in Germany at the end of the war. Harry was briefly a private in the US Army with the Stuttgart Military Post Baltic Unit 8724th Labor Service Company (Möhringen) prior to immigrating to Canada in 1949. He first worked as a mechanic at Barrie Motors, and after moving to Hamilton, was hired at Clarke Bros. Motors and within six months became service manager at that dealership. From 1967 until his retirement in 1991, Harry had a long and distinguished career as an award-winning service manager at Gemini Mercury, a Ford of Canada dealer, where he demonstrated an uncompromising commitment to his large and diverse clientele. He was respected by his peers and customers alike for his vast automotive knowledge, his straightforward business manner, reliability, and honesty.
Predeceased by his parents, Johann and Helena, step-siblings Gustav and Wanda, infant brother Erich, and sister Evelina. Beloved husband of the late Herta (2024) for 66 years and precious father to his devoted children Leonard and Lorraine. Survived by relatives in Germany, nephews and nieces in the US, and many relatives and friends in the Hamilton area. The family extends its heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Pr. Daniela Mertz for her visits and prayers, family physician Dr. Barbara Bielecki, Susanna from the VON, the doctors, nurses and staff at Juravinski Hospital and the Geriatric Rehab Unit, and especially Dr. Alan Taniguchi and the dedicated nurses and staff of the 3 East Palliative Care Unit at St. Peter’s Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Harry.

In lieu of flowers, donations to LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionaries & Pilots), The Salvation Army, or St. Peter’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalm 23: 1-3, 6.
