

Peacefully passed away on July 18th in her 95th year. Was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew Clarkson (1982) and Elizabeth Clarkson (1995). She was the cherished sister of the late Muriel Agnes (Green/Tomlinson, 2013) and a loving Aunt to Betty Ann Green, Robert Green, Bruce Green, and Allan Green (Carrie), as well as a dear great-Aunt to many nieces, nephews and their families.
Margaret was a devoted member of both St. Andrew's and St. David's Presbyterian churches in Hamilton. Her commitment to her faith community was evident through her long time service as a choir member, treasurer, and member of the board of managers.
She was a former member of the Christian Endeavour both locally in Hamilton and with the International and World Christian Endeavour Movements.
Professionally, Margaret was employed by Wilkinson and Kompass Ltd. for over forty years. After retirement Margaret continued to provide transportation for medical appointments as well as delivery for Meals on Wheels. Her life was also marked by faithful service through the Women's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, of which she was a long time member.
Margaret will be remembered for her steadfast faith, loving spirit and unwavering dedication to her church, family, and community.
Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton, on Thursday July 24th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th at 11am in the Marlatt chapel. Following a luncheon, interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Margaret requested donations to any of the following: Mission Services, Salvation Army, Kidney Foundation, or St. David's Church.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the doctors and staff at the Hamilton General Hospital and St. Peter's Palliative care.
