Alease Strickland Hodges

Alease was born May 24, 1940 in Harnett County the daughter of the late William “Bud” Strickland and Mary Alene Addison Strickland and is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hodges and a son, Terry E. Page. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Douglas and Liston Strickland.

Alease owned and operated Dunn-Erwin Phone Center for 20 plus years with her husband, Robert. She was a member of Grace Chapel Church.

Alease enjoyed life, she never met a stranger and loved people, she was always calling people who were sick, sending cards to the sick and on other occasions. She was a genuine person and very giving. Her family was very important to her and she loved each one very much.

She loved the spring of the year and enjoyed working in her flowers and loved singing southern gospel music.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at Grace Chapel Church with Rev. Rayford McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in Erwin Memorial Park.

She is survived by: A Daughter: Connie McLeod & (husband) Rayford of Erwin, NC

Sisters: Willie Wood & (husband) Warren and Sandra Klass both of Dunn, NC

Grandchildren: Tanya Stanley, Brooke McLeod, Shane Page, Ashley Sherman & Jerry Elliott

Great Grandchildren: Shaleigh Stanley, Tatum McLeod, Aubree Tuggle. Kolton Sherman, Kaiden Sherman & Kaleb Sherman

The family will receive friends Friday Evening from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn. And at other times at the home of Connie & Rayford McLeod in Erwin, NC.
