Bobby D. Baggett, age 77 of Dunn died on Saturday, February 6, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Bobby was born on January 13, 1944 in Sampson County the son of the late Rupert Desmil Baggett and Alder Norris Baggett and is preceded in death by a son, Rodney Baggett. Bobby’s wife of 57 years Mary Catherine Baggett preceded him in death on December 25, 2020.

Bobby retired with 44 years of service with Erwin Mills as a Machinist. He was an amazing and dedicated husband, father & grandfather. Family was very important to him especially his grandchildren. He was an early to rise person getting up by 5:30 am every morning. He enjoyed the little things in life such as taking his dogs for a ride on the golf cart that always ended up at the pond for them to go swimming and going camping in the mountains. He loved old cars and was a Chevrolet man and also loved old westerns on TV his favorite western movie was “Shane.” He loved all the Ernest movies his favorite being “Ernest Goes to Jail.”

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Shady Grove Church Cemetery, 7605 Newton Grove Hwy., Dunn, NC.

He is survived by: His Son: Chris Baggett & (friend) Michelle Haire of Dunn, NC.

Grandchildren: Ashley McLamb, Christen Baggett, Rodney Baggett & Josh Baggett Great Grandchildren: Riley McLamb & Octavia McLamb

Brother-in-Law: Ricky Faircloth & (wife) Cassie of Dunn, NC.
