OBITUARY Linden, NC Mr. C. Franklin Butler, age 65, of Collier’s Chapel Church Rd., Linden died Tuesday Evening, April 7, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Mr. Butler was a Spivey’s Corner native born February 27, 1950 in Harnett County the son of the late Carl Fitchette Butler & Theressa Mae Williams Butler and is preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Jean Butler. Mr. Butler was retired from Kelly Springfield with 34 years of service and a member of Collier’s Chapel Church in Linden. His hobby was Salt water Fishing. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Collier’s Chapel Church with Rev. Johnny Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery 7605 Newton Grove Hwy., Dunn, NC He is survived by: Wife: Marie Denning Butler of Linden, NC A Daughter: Stephanie Butler Carter & (husband) Randall of Garland, NC A Son: Thurman Jackson, Jr. & (wife) Tammy of Linden, NC A Sister: Kay B. Tew & (husband) Robert of Spiveys Corner, NC Grandson: Lee Butler Matthis of Wilmington, NC The family will receive friends Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home and at other times at his home in Linden.
