Gregory Leon Yaw

Mr. Gregory Leon Yaw, age 68 of Erwin went to his heavenly home, Sunday, August 14, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Greg was born March 12, 1954 in Dillon, S.C. the son of the late Herman Yaw and Ora Mae Yaw and is preceded in death by a brother, James Yaw. He is also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Donna Faye Monds.

Greg was a professional painter for over 30 years, he was a simple man who lived a quiet life and loved doing small things for family and friends. He enjoyed watching ball games and riding around sightseeing with Faye. The thing he loved most was making sure Faye “his heart” was looked after and never wanted for anything.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherrill Pope and Rev. Chris Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Autry Mill Rd., Dunn NC.

He is survived by: The love of his life for 28 years: Alice Faye Tyndall Monds of the home.

His Brother: Larry Yaw and (wife) Maxine of Greenville, S.C.

Step-Sons: Ronnie Sills of Clinton, NC.

Roy Monds & (wife) Tracey of Plainview, NC.

Grandchildren: Jordan Sills, Buddy Monds, Dallas Monds, Tristan Heise, Amberly Sills and Heather Sills.

His Dog: Dolly

Brother & Sister-in-Laws: R.C. Tyndall, Mike Tyndall & Shelby, Billy Dale & Louise and Don Tyndall all of Dunn, NC.

Several Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday Evening, August 18, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn and at other times at the home of Mike and Shelby Tyndall, 461 Ashley Lynn Lane, Dunn NC 28334
