Joseph Thomas Byrum, age 65, of Eastover died Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his home.

Joe was born on January 14, 1956 in Cumberland County the son of the late Charlie James Byrum and Rachel Autry Byrum and is preceded in death by a sister, Deborah B. Gartner and brothers Charlie J. Byrum, Jr. and William C. Byrum.

Joe was a family man, he loved his family very much. He was a giving man would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He had a good sense of humor and a lot of "dry wit" that always made people smile.

He is survived by: His Daughter: Marissa Byrum of Ellicott City, Md.

A Sister: Teri B. McLaurin &(husband) Leland of Eastover, NC.

Many Nieces and Nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Johnson Officiating.

Joe was a great addition to our family , always had a great attitude and made me laugh .I was a kid that rode my bicycle to his store with my friends and would later become my brother in law , can’t say enough good things about him , have a niece from him ..thank you joe for everything!

So sorry Rissa and Teri. Just was talking to him Monday. He looked good was in good spirits bragging on Leland helping him to get back on the road in a car and bragging on how Rissa was doing and how she was about to set him up with an UBER if he couldnt find another way to the Doc. Was shocked and saddened. Hugs and love and prayers to Rissa Teri Leland and all the family. He will ne missed.
