Eugene K. "Gene" Pokorski, of Lancaster, entered into rest on August 8, 2021 at age 88. Beloved husband of the late Patricia A. (nee Stafford) Pokorski, who passed on June 11, 2021. Gene joined her in heaven just one day after what would have been their 67th wedding anniversary. Devoted father of Donna (Thomas) Chowaniec, Michael (Sheryl) Pokorski, Patrick (Lynn) Pokorski, Karen (Gregg) Smith and Robert Pokorski; cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; dear brother of Ronald (Nancy) Pokorski and Bernadette (late Chester) Urban; also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit the DENGLER, ROBERTS, PERNA FUNERAL HOME, 8630 Transit Rd., East Amherst, on Sunday (August 29, 2021) from 12-4pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 4375 Harris Hill Rd. (corner of Main St.), Clarence, on Monday (August 30, 2021) at 10:30am. Please assemble at church.
Gene was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a retired firefighter of the Buffalo Fire Department who will be remembered for his unwavering bravery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gene's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
