

Beloved husband of 70 yrs to the late Dolores Carmella "Dolly" (nee Long); Loving father of Cheryl (James) Reynard, Karen Campbell, Fred (Lisa), and Michael (Late Maureen) Lindner; Dear Gramps of Kevin, Michael (Alysa), Eric (Amanda), Luke (Brooke), Beth, Cole and the late Marcy; Papa of 6-1/2 great grandchildren; brother; Diane Redfield and the late Virgine Ingalls also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive friends on Friday, January 23rd from 3-7PM at the DENGLER, ROBERTS PERNA FUNERAL HOME 8630 Transit Rd., East Amherst. Born in Buffalo, Fred attended St. Gerard's, Burgard Vocational High School and Erie County Technical Inst. He worked for his parents at their restaurant on Kensington Ave. prior to going to work at New York Telephone Co. He retired from the phone company after serving 16 years at various technician jobs and closed out his career by serving the final twenty two years in the Engineering Dept. After retiring from the phone company, Fred went to work at the Audubon Golf Course in Amherst.
Fred served on the Board of Directors and held many coaching positions for both Connie Mack Little League baseball and the Eggertsville-Snyder football league. Fred was honored for his outstanding contributions to the Connie Mack Assoc. in 1970 and 1974. Fred was an avid hunter, fisherman and took up golf after his retirement from the phone company. Fred was also a member of the St. Benedict's Holy name Society.
