George mentored me many times throughout my career in Williamsville. He was a good friend and colleague and will be greatly missed. God's Blessings on him and may His Peace be with the Family as you go forth.

Dear Beth and Family, I was a Gifted Programming Specialist at Maple West Elementary while George was there. We met at various district meetings. He was always so outgoing and friendly to everyone. We felt a loss when he went to East Aurora. Oddly enough when I started with Erie #2 BOCES assigned as a pull-out G/T teacher in the Middle School in Eden and a District Coordinator of Gifted K-12 in East Aurora I ran into him again! How fortunate for me and the G/T program. He arranged some very creative transportation for me in East Aurora which extended the G/T program and brought multiple students within the program together. I never forgot that nor him personally. I felt very sad to read of your & our loss of this fine gentleman. Please accept my most sincere sympathy. Gretchen A. To the Oliver Family, please accept my heartfelt condolences.  George was my first Supervisor at Williamsville Schools where I transitioned from the private sector.  I did always appreciate his wit, humor and willingness to share his views.  He was a friendly and energetic person that was always on the move.  I appreciated our time together and will always remember him.

Although I was quite a little handful in elementary school, I fondly remember my principal Mr. Oliver. I spent a lot of time at his office! Even as a person in authority, especially to a little kid, he always seemed to have a gentle caring smile and sense of humor. Then I got a kick out of running into him as an adult and he still remembered me! And of course I remember him also.  We laughed. My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
