Richard F. Hoffman

Richard Franklin Hoffman, Jr. of Strykersville, NY entered into rest April 18, 2025; Beloved husband of 40 years to Barbara (nee Allen) Hoffman; devoted father of Lauren (Cody) Corke and Kimberly Hoffman; cherished grandfather of Ivan, Aria, Noah and Lyla Corke; fur grandpa of Remi; loving son of Carol and the late Richard F. Hoffman, Sr.; dear brother of Elizabeth (Lance) Doberstein and Heidi (Allen) Evans; also survived by many loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to St. John’s United Church of Christ, 608 Centerline Road, Strykersville, NY on Thursday April 24th at 4:30PM for a Celebration of Life. Rich will always be remembered for his love of gardening, operating heavy equipment and the outdoors. He was well known for giving every kid in the family a ride on one of his machines. He enjoyed his pastimes of fishing, hunting and working with all of his equipment. Rich was especially proud of his twenty years in the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 17 and his ability to build amazing things. His two favorite projects were the fireplace at the house in Holland and the home in Strykersville he built in 1996. His family will miss how much he loved spending time with all of them and the joy on his face during all of the times he spent out at Rushford Lake. Richard will be greatly missed beyond belief.
