Roberta “Bobbie” Queer, 82, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and richly lived experiences. Born in Buffalo, New York, Bobbie grew up in Kenmore and graduated from Kenmore High School and Erie Community College.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Bobbie shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Sam. She was a loving mother to her two sons, Jeffrey (Tanya) and Matthew (Melissa), and an adoring grandmother to Emily, William, Dominic, and Elliott. She is also survived by her loving sister, Marcy (late Brent) Breton. Bobbie was a constant, encouraging presence in the lives of her family, attending sporting events and concerts, and celebrating every milestone with heartfelt pride.
Bobbie brought dedication to her work as partner and Executive Secretary of S&H Machine Company, Inc. She was meticulous about her work and took great pride in the role she played.
She possessed a refined appreciation for beauty and craftsmanship. As an avid antique collector, she curated a home filled with elegant furniture and fine tableware, each piece chosen with a discerning eye and a deep love for history. Her adventurous spirit extended far beyond her collection; she and Sam explored the world together, finding particular joy in hiking and travel.
Animals were lifelong companions to her, and over the years she welcomed many beloved dogs into her home and heart. She was also the heart of an annual family tradition — packing the car and heading to remote Canada with Sam and her boys for their cherished fishing trip, a journey filled with adventure, storytelling, and togetherness.
She embraced a life enriched by simple pleasures: reading, walking, skiing, attending church, listening to classical music, and enjoying Friday fish fry. These pursuits reflected her thoughtful nature and her ability to find joy and beauty in everyday life.
Bobbie will be remembered for her warmth, her curiosity, her steadfast devotion to family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her spirit lives on in the traditions she began, the passions she nurtured, and the love she shared so generously.
