Alberta Merrill

Alberta M. Merrill, 91, of Windsor, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2017. She was born in Old Saybrook, CT, a daughter of the late John and Edith (Anderson) Heissler and was a graduate of Charles Morgan High School. She worked for Southern New England Telephone for 39 years. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph O. Merrill, Jr. in 2004. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of East Hartford. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Sava and her husband Gary of Windsor, her son Ronald Merrill and his wife Kristin Kumashiro of Hawaii, six grandchildren, Emma, Jonathan, Ryan and Paul Merrill, Margaret Rodriguez and her husband Jesus and Emily Vazquez and her husband Andres, four great grandchildren, Andres, Kiyana, Leila and Norra. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:30AM at the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, followed by burial in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. A visiting hour will precede the service from 9:30AM-10:30AM.
