Anita C. Pye

Anita Cecelia Pye, 91, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation center. She was born in Nashua, NH on April 1, 1924. Anita was an employee of East Hartford Credit Union, retiring after a long career. She was a goodhearted person who had a great sense of humor and was always able to make those around her smile. She will be most remembered for spending time with her family on Sunday afternoons making her legendary chicken wings. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Anita is survived by her daughters, Carol Masse of Manchester, Berna Oppelt and her husband Walter of Vernon, her grandchildren, Christine Masse, Karen Masse Richards, Lynn Platt; her great grandchildren, Billy Joshua, Michael, Alena, Ryan, Meghan, Kaitlynn, Karissa, Arianna, Gage and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Blake Pye.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation and Masonicare Hospice for their love and care to Anita.
