Catherine F. Benoit

Catherine (Fisher) Benoit, 84, passed away on February 7, 2022. Catherine was born in Hartford, Ct on December 22, 1937, and beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Benoit. She leaves behind her two special nieces; Gail Rainville (John Stevens), Sandra St. John (Louis) and all her loving nieces and nephews, best friend Barbara Gerstrauer, her game players at home; Pat Totten and Ron Totten and Patty Labreck and all her bingo-playing friends. Her mother, Bessie and father Charles, sisters Caroline and Charlotte, brothers James and Fred as well as a niece Donna, predecease her.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for Aetna Life and Casualty for 30 years. She belonged to the South End Seniors Club in East Hartford and was a bingo caller as well as RSVP retired senior volunteer planner, also a volunteer for the S.N.E.T C.E.R.T. Program.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 10 am to 12 pm followed by a Funeral Home Service at 12 pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, CT 06108.
