

Cesidia “Chizzie” (Coletti) Geraci, 80, of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 14, 2017 at Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was born on November 2, 1936 to the late Frank and Carmella (Tramontozzi) Coletti and raised in Norwich, CT. She was predeceased by her husband Frank A. Geraci. Chizzie was a proud graduate of Norwich Free Academy and St Francis School of Nursing and fulfilled a lifelong passion of caring for others as a nurse at St Francis Hospital in Hartford followed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Chizzie was an active board member of the St Francis School of Nursing Alumni Association, a member of Mt Laurel Skiers and an avid UCONN basketball fan. She was an amazing human being, thoughtful, hardworking, and above all else is described as a loving and compassionate friend to all. She was proud of her family and Italian heritage and lived with a zest for life. Her vibrant personality will be sadly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family, three daughters and their spouses Mary and Charles MacDonald of Penfield, NY, Ann and Kevin Guptill of Berlin, CT, Sheila and Tony Ciccone of Tolland, CT, her grandchildren Michael, Brian and Kevin MacDonald; Kaitlyn (Justin) Thompson; Molly and Julia MacPherson, Leah and Chloe Ciccone. In addition, she is survived by her brothers and sisters Dr. Larry and Elaine Coletti, Rita Tuttle, Betty and Tom Lafreniere, Frank and Betty Coletti; her longtime companion Jim Arnold, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law Bill Tuttle.

A special thanks for the loving healthcare guidance provided by her nephew Dr. David Coletti throughout Mom’s illness. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury. Funeral Service will begin Wednesday September 20, 9am at the funeral home, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury.
