

Henry Francis Misiewicz, 94, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died September 25, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Port St. Lucie, FL. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL since 2000, moving from East Hartford, CT. During WWII, Mr. Misiewicz served in the US Army. Prior to retirement Henry was a Machinist for Hartford Bearing in Rocky Hill, CT and Allen Manufacturing in Hartford.
Henry was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church of Port St. Lucie, FL; a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and Color Guard in East Hartford, CT; a member of the American Legion Post #0200 in Rocky Hill, CT; and member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Anne Misiewicz and second wife Hilda Misiewicz.
Survivors include one son, Jerome (Jerry) H. Martin and his wife Karen of Stuart, FL; two grandchildren, Matthew Martin of Chicago, IL, Katharine Young of Oswego, IL; two great-grandchildren Hadley Young and Caroline Young of Oswego, IL; one sister, Wanda Sapula of South Windsor, CT and brother, Victor Misiewicz of Linwood, NJ.
Friends and family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday October 3, 2013 from 6-8pm at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108. Funeral services will begin Friday October 4, 2013 at 9am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford.
