Born in Hartford on June 15, 1960, Janis was predeceased by her beloved parents, Paula (Rigley) Eremita and Michael Albert Eremita.
She is survived by her siblings: Pat Dossa and her husband Steve, Susan Salafia, Michael Eremita and his wife Heather, her twin brother Jim Eremita and his partner Sue Barone, and Beth McClure and her husband Michael. Janis is also lovingly remembered by her cousins Jill, Jerry, and Paul Biancucci, and Alan Brillman.
Janis was cherished by her many nieces and nephews, who will always remember her for her warm sense of humor, gentle nature, and kind heart. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Mattatuck Manor community for welcoming Janis as one of their own, with special appreciation to Lynne, Linda, Kim and Robin for their care and friendship.
A graveside service will be held at Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford on Wednesday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m.
