Jared Wheeler

Jared Lenard Wheeler, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 1, 2026. Jared was born in Hartford, CT on October 31. He was the son of David Allen Wheeler and Linda (Austin) Masi. Jared is survived by his loving wife, Meagan Lalumiere, his sisters, Samantha, Katrina and Larissa, several nieces and nephews and his numerous friends who were like family to him.

Jared was known for his generous heart, unwavering loyalty, love of animals and the way he always showed up for the people he loved. Whether someone needed a helping hand, a laugh during difficult times, or simply someone to lean on, Jared was there without hesitation. He would truly give the shirt off his back to help a friend in need, and his kindness and presence left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures--spending time fishing, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and making memories with those closet to him. Jared was also proud founding member of the "Couple of Jerks"

Jared's loss leaves and immeasurable void, but the love, laughter and loyalty he shared with other will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Jared's Life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 12-4pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT.
