

John A. Christensen of Hampton, New Hampshire and Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on September 25th in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He was 78. Born is Roxbury, Massachusetts and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, John graduated from the Watkinson School before being admitted to Trinity College. After much debate, he decided to join the Unites States Air Force. He was stationed in Texas, Colorado and Illinois during his service.
After his military service, he joined Pratt & Whitney and worked there for the next three decades, retiring in 1992. He worked in various positions and left the company as Operations Manager of the Rocky Hill, Connecticut facility.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Lauria Christensen and the following: son, Michael Christensen of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Jolene Lippitt and her husband Christopher of Wethersfield, Connecticut and two grandchildren, Gavin and Kade. He also leaves a brother, Richard Christensen of Waltham, Massachusetts.
Funeral Services were held on October 5th, at St. Mary Church in East Hartford, Connecticut. Burial followed in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Arrangements in care of Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, East Hartford, Connecticut.
