Katherine Ann (Kluntz) Tomaso, 72, of Enfield, wife of the late Enrico Tomaso, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 25, 2018 at Parkway Pavilion. She was born on November 30, 1945 in Manchester, CT, daughter of the late Louis and Loretta (Lloyd) Kluntz. Kathy lived in East Hartford for many years before moving to Enfield with her son and daughter-in-law. She was employed at JT Ghamo for many years. Kathy was a very proud mother and grandmother. She loved the beach and spent many summers at Chalker beach in Old Saybrook. She enjoyed crocheting and took great pleasure making afghans for friends and family. She had a great love for the New York Yankees and watching her grandson play baseball. She loved Christmas and would start singing carols and decorating in October. She had an amazing Christmas village display. Kathy is survived by her loving son Timothy and his wife Kimberly Kluntz of Enfield. Very special grandchildren Toree and her husband Michael Sheehan, Andrew and Thomas Kluntz. A daughter Christine and her husband Bill Rabida and their children Mitchell, Stephen and Alyssa. A sister Loretta Mazziotto-Czyzniak and her husband Walter and a two brothers Jay Kluntz and his wife Laurie and William Kluntz. A special sister-in-law Simone “Sam” Hyson of Enfield, CT. Kathy was also predeceased by her brothers Louis and Joseph Kluntz. Our family would like to thank all of her Doctors and staff at UCONN Medical Center, especially Dr. Darshan Shah and all the nurses and staff at Parkway Pavilion for the care and compassion shown to Kathy. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford on Friday at 10am followed by a committal in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
