Oanh X. Bui, 75, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012, with his loving family by his side. Oanh was the beloved husband of Chau Tran. He was born on Oct. 15, 1936 in Vietnam, a son of the late Da Bui and Ty Nguyen. Oanh had resided in Danbury, more recently in Manchester. Oanh was a chemistry professor in Vietnam. He will be remembered as being a loving husband and father, devoted to his family.
In addition to his wife Chau, Oanh will be dearly missed by his children, his son Khai, and his daughters Lily and Mimi. He will also be missed by his very special grandchildren and his extended family.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, from 3-7PM at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT. Oanh’s funeral service will begin Thursday morning, January 12th, at 8AM, at the funeral home, with burial to follow immediately in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
