Peter J Smith, 62, of East Hartford, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021. Born in Hartford on June, 19, 1959. He was the third child of the late Charles A and Italia (Zimei) Smith and is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Louis C and Candace C Smith and many cousins. Peter's beloved sister Elizabeth L Smith predeceased him in 2008. Peter's family would like to express their deep gratitude to his friends and neighbors for their many acts of kindness and friendship.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Newkirk and Whitney/Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Peter's family will receive family and friends beginning at 10:00 am with a memorial service held at 11:00. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. In lieu of flowers and for Peter's great love of dogs, contributions in his memory may be made to the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc., 103 Vision Way, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
