Richard J. “Dick” Gorman, 75, of East Hartford, formerly of Ellington, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021. Dick was born on October 29th, 1945 in Hartford, son of the late Dr. Richard J. and Margaret Gorman. A graduate of East Hartford High School, Dick was an electrician by trade, and spent his career at United Technologies, retiring in 2006. Dick was an avid outdoor sportsman, spending much of his time training bird dogs, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time on Crystal Lake in Ellington. He was a long time member of the Maple Grove Club in Vernon.
Dick was predeceased by his brother, Dennie J. Gorman. Dick leaves his brother, Terrence P. Gorman and his wife, Diane of East Hartford. As well as his niece, Casey Gorman, also of East Hartford.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 10th, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, CT. 06108. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in Dick’s memory.
