

Richard C. Minagil, of Glastonbury, passed away unexpectedly on April 16th at his home. Beloved son of the late Kenneth Minagil and Jane (Rekas) Minagil. A native of Wethersfield, he attended public schools there. He was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He subsequently earned several Master’s Degrees in Education and worked for many years teaching at the middle school and high school levels. At the time of his retirement, he was teaching at East Hartford Middle School. He had a passion for travel and had visited countries around the world. He was often seen around Glastonbury with his constant companions; his two yellow labs. He was an avid reader, enjoying books of all kinds.
He will be most remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness to others. He is survived by his brothers Gary MacMinagil of Cranbrook, BC and Kenneth MacMinagil of Glastonbury, his nephews Aaron and Zachary, his dear aunts, and a host of cousins. He will be dearly missed by his life partner, Keith Richards and by many loving friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 22nd at 11AM at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT.
