Robert John Dubrosky, 80, of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly at home, peacefully in his sleep on December 14, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Mable Dubrosky. Mr. Dubrosky was born on January 16, 1938 in Hartford, CT. to the late John and Mary (Daniels) Dubrosky. He attended Unionville/Farmington schools, and was an auto mechanic by trade.
Robert enjoyed watching wrestling, the Red Sox and UConn Women’s Basketball, listening to country music and spending time with family and spent most of his time helping others. Mr. Dubrosky will be most remembered for his famous potato salad and his sense of humor; he loved telling jokes and pulling pranks on his children and grandchildren.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his 3 sons: Robert P. Dubrosky and his wife Anna of New Britain, Raymond Dubrosky and his wife Alene of Hartford, Steven Dubrosky of East Hartford, 4 daughters: Joanne Martell and her husband Peter of Windsor Locks, Dolores Dubrosky and her husband Anderson Moyet of New Britain, Carol Waterman of Jellico, TN., and Judy Bycoski of TN., 1 brother Daniel Dubrosky and his wife Patricia of Bristol, 2 sisters: Shirley Dunphy of Bristol and Margaret (Peg) Dubois of Burlington, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Robert is predeceased by his sister Mary Jean Drawec and granddaughter Sandy Waterman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22nd, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Avenue, East Hartford. Burial will be on a later date at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 21st from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
