Shirley Frost
May 30th, 1935 - April 1st, 2026
Shirley was born in Hartford Hospital.
She was a waitress for a good part of her life.
Shirley and Leonard met at a roller skating rink 1952 and started dating. A year later they were married.
Their children remember great memories of holidays with family, weekend getaways at the beach, spending time at Riverside Park and going to Martin Park every year to watch the fireworks. At Christmas time they would travel all over to Hartford to see the lights on Main Street.
Shirley and Leonard made friends wherever they went. When Leonard retired he would go up every week to the Senior Center and have lunch with his friends and play some pool. One of the things Shirley loved to do was knit and crochet. She did everything from Afghans to gloves and scarves. She also loved to bake.
Shirley and Leonard taught their children to be kind to animals, and raised them alongside several cats and a couple of dogs. Leonard had a way with animals. He could walk up to any animal, pat them on their head, and they would just let him do it.
Shirley and Leonard wanted to be buried together.
They leave behind four children:
Leonard Frost, Jr.
Debra Guertin and the late Rene Guertin.
Guy Frost and Ebba Frost
Garry Frost
They also leave behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Shirley also had a sister Margaret, and a brother Horace "Buddy" who predeceased her.
