Stephen Richard Levesque

Stephen Richard Levesque, age 50, of East Hartford, CT passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022. Born on October 7, 1971, he was a lifelong resident of East Hartford. Stephen is survived by his loving parents, Gaston and Lucille Levesque and his devoted sister Lisa Levesque (Gigi), all of East Hartford. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory Aunt Claudette Simard of East Hartford, CT, Uncle Maurice and Aunt Ethel his Godparents, of Canada, many cousins and his beloved 4-legged companion Kylo. Stephen had so many friends (too numerous to mention) and extended family members, who will forever miss his infectious smile, laugh and kind-hearted soul, gone way too young from this earth. An avid lover of skill-based video games, and frequent host of such parties, he was considered a true electronic athlete. Stephen also loved to dance. If there was a party or wedding he attended, the minute the music began, Stephen was on the dance floor…always entertaining. He began his career at The Hartford in 1995. As companies changed and merged, Stephen moved on to Mass Mutual and lastly Empower Retirement LLC. Stephen was great at his job and admired for his insight on so many things.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Smilow Cancer Hospital at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, for their wonderful care and compassion during Stephen’s stay. His parents and sister also wish to thank so many friends and extended family for their support and love through Stephen’s battle with brain cancer. A hard road for any of us to travel. Calling hours for Stephen will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 12:00 PM.
