Anne Marie Malarchuk Underhill

Anne Marie (Malarchuk) Underhill passed away with her family by her side at the age of 90 on August 25, 2012. She was born in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan , Canada on September 18, 1921 to Nick Malarchuk and Mary Boinka. Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald whom she wed in 1948. They made their home in Haslett where Anne enjoyed gardening, bowling and playing cards. She was a resident of Haslett since 1956. She was known to be an excellent cook and loved her family, especially all her wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anne is survived by two daughters: Carol (Ted) Wade and Cheryl (John) Veresh; two sons: Ron (Tonnie Joy) Underhill and Robert (Felicia) Underhill; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also left to honor her memory are two sisters, Marie Wilson and Marge Godin. Visitation will be at 6:00p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 with funeral services officiated by the Rev. Royce H. Allen of Trinity Church, on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, MI, 48823. God’s Garden

God looked around his garden

And he found an empty place

He then looked down upon this earth,

And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering

He knew that you were in pain

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw that the road was getting rough,

And the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids,

And whispered, “Peace be thine”

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn’t go alone

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

“Dear God, be good to me. The Sea is so wide and my boat is so small.”
