Born April 23, 1924 to Harvey and Mary Pastors, passed away April 3, 2011 at the age of 86. Calvin served during WWII as a combat medic in the 87th Infantry, 312th Medical Battalion, Company D. He graduated in 1951 from Harvard Law School. Calvin worked 25 years for the Central Intelligence Agency and 10 years as an international lawyer with Hospital Corporation of America. Calvin was a loving and devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather. His smile and humor will be greatly missed. His family thanks him very much for the fantastic lives they have led because of him.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; daughters Linda Burghardt and Bronwen (Dr. Benjamin) Bamford; grandchildren, Brianna (Nathaniel) Bamford Olson, William Burghardt, and Ian Bamford. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Gordon.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 8, at Noon, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, from 6-8 pm at the Chapel.
