Went to be with her savior on June 27, 2025. She passed away peacefully at 61 years of age in West Palm Beach, Florida. Cindi was the youngest child of James and Marilyn Harmon. She was born in Lansing, Michigan and graduated from Okemos High School, class of 1981.
Her faith never wavered throughout her battle with cancer. She knew God’s mission for her was in his time and she was willing to embrace it no matter what that looked like. The Lord has always been with Cindi throughout her life. His presence was clarified when she was diagnosed with an uncurable cancer. He released her of worry and gave her an unexplainable calmness that only comes with knowing God. She knew that she was in His hands and everything was going to be alright.
Cindi thanks her parents for being introduced to the Lord, teaching her right from wrong, a wonderful work ethic and that you give more than 100%. They also taught her that you help others to the best of your ability.
She was a loyal daughter, sister and friend offering support and encouragement always. She would be sure to take the time to talk, especially if there was a need for honest advice. She was there to help you through whatever the situation was.
As an employee she was a dedicated hard worker, always looking to make the office more efficient through spreadsheet design or any other application that would make it easier for everyone. Her dependability was like none other. Even through her cancer treatments she would continue to do everything possible to meet deadlines. She will be remembered for sharing homemade treats with the office staff and for her front desk smile to all that she greeted.
She was our Cindy Lou Who of Whoville. If there was a Grinch that crossed her path, she was sure to make them smile and maybe even laugh. She was the baby of the family. She was beloved as the adorable blonde with a giggle and a smile that we all looked forward to seeing.
Cindi had a heart for Winnie the Pooh ever since she was a little girl. She and Pooh had so much in common. Beyond the cute and cuddly, Pooh has a gentle kind spirit, his willingness to listen, his ability to solve problems, his close-knit group of friends, but mostly his love of food. Cindi loved food! The flavor, the texture, the color, the aroma and just the pure celebration of food. She appreciated and embraced the effort that a good recipe took to create. She had her favorite dishes that were made with joy and love. She would savor each delicious bite, ending it with a long yummm to show her delight. Some of our favorite memories were made in the kitchen creating mostly delicious food, except that one time when she added 1 cup of vinegar instead of 1 teaspoon to a cake recipe. The entire house smelled like vinegar.
Our sister was beloved by all that knew her. She took each day as a gift. We cherished each visit, each conversation, each hug that could never last long enough. Her life was a true representation of trusting God with all things. She was a blessing! We’re wishing her a joyful journey as she reunites with our parents.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her father, James Harmon and her mother, Marilyn (Henrys) Harmon.
Surviving is her brothers Peter (Frieda Foster) Harmon, Steven (Grace) Harmon and sister Kimberly (Will) Fouts, several nieces and nephews along with special friends Karen Benn Brudwick and Randy Brudwick. Connie Pruitt and Judi Thomson.
