Douglas Burton Lounsbury

Douglas Burton Lounsbury, age 79, of East Lansing, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023. Doug was born October 21, 1943 in Lansing and graduated from Eastern High School in 1973. He worked at Kroger and the East Lansing Food Co-op for several years and was active throughout the community through Community Mental Health. Since 2017 Doug was a resident of Burcham Hills in East Lansing and was very involved in the Alzheimer's Walk. Doug had a love for life and for his family. He loved his sports teams; Spartans, Lugnuts, Tigers, Williamston Hornets, and Fowlerville Gladiators.

Surviving are his his nieces and nephews, Cathy (Steve Biechele) Lounsbury, Julie (Jon) Dean, Jim (Lynne) Lounsbury, Mark (Erin) Lounsbury, Steve (Heather) Lounsbury, Chris (Erika) Lounsbury; 15 great nieces and nephews; 11 great-great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Central United Methodist Church, 215 N. Capitol Ave, Lansing, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. A committal service will follow at Summit Cemetery, Williamston.
