Eric Duane Bratton passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the age of 59 after a 10-year battle with early-onset Alzheimer's Disease. Eric was born January 15, 1966, in Huntington, PA to Clara Ann (Koontz) Bratton and the late Barry D. Bratton. The family moved to East Lansing when Eric was 3 years of age, and then he moved with his mother and sister to Holt where he graduated from Holt High School in 1984. He went on to get his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. After graduation he remained in Ann Arbor and found his passion in computer programming. He did independent contracting and also worked for many large companies, the last being Siemens Healthcare.
Eric is survived by his mother, Clara Bratton of East Lansing, MI; his sister, Christine (Tim) Heilman of Okemos, MI; niece and nephews, Benjamin, Natalie, Joseph & Thomas Heilman; as well as uncle Gene (Barb) Koontz and aunt Shari Woodward. Eric was preceded in death by 4 uncles, and his father Barry Bratton in 1997.
No funeral services are planned. He will be laid to rest in Bedford, PA.
