Eva Siegrist

Age 93, passed away May 7, 2017. Eve was born March 13, 1924 in Lansing, MI to Clemente and Lucia (Maraldo) D’Valentine. She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School and retired from the State of Michigan DNR after many years of service. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Eve previously belonged to Resurrection Parish where she was active in the Altar Society. Family always came first with Eve; she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James (2011), brothers Michael, Geno and sister, Erma.

Surviving are her son, James (Tammy Hamelink) Siegrist; daughters, Barbara (Dennis) Acker, Suzanne (Charlie) Husby, Linda (Roger) Williams, Carol VanSyckle and Deborah (David) Zwier; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two on the way. Mom, you will be deeply missed by your family.

A service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing, Friday, May 12, 2017, 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark Inglot officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 11, 5-8 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
