

Frances Meekhof passed away July 15, 2015. Frances was born October 1, 1925 in McBain, Michigan to Corneil and Alice DeBoer. Her family moved to Lake City Michigan where she attended school graduating from Lake City High School in 1942. After graduation she worked at the Missaukee County Register of Deeds/County Clerk’s Office. In 1947 Frances moved to Lansing to work at East Lansing State Bank, later Bank One. Frances retired in 1990 from Bank One as Vice President of Commercial Loans as well as Secretary of the Board of Directors. Frances received the Diana Award for business in 1975, was a charter member of the Zonta Club of East Lansing and served on the Mortgage Committee of the Michigan Bankers Association. After retirement Frances volunteered at the East Lansing Senior Center and Sparrow Hospital Service Auxiliary (Gift Shop). Frances married Corneal (Casey) Meekhof in 1948. Corneal (Casey) passed away in 1977. Frances was also pre-deceased by her parents (Corneil/Alice DeBoer) and Brother (David DeBoer). Surviving are her Children, Kathryn Pierce (daughter) and Stephan Meekhof (son); Grandchildren, Mary Isley (Kevin), Andrew Boyko, Casey Meekhof (Angela) and Stephany Cycholl (Brian); Great-grandchildren, Rylie Boyko Donovan Meekhof and Piper Meekhof; Brothers, Robert DeBoer (Lillian) and Alfred DeBoer. Frances was a member of Immanuel Community Reformed Church of Lansing. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Immanuel Community Reformed Church, 3200 Delta River Drive, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 4~8 PM on Friday, July 17th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
