Beloved husband, father and grandfather. Born, April 25, 1929 in Lakewood, Ohio to Frank and Etta Warden, passed away February 6, 2012 at the age of 82. Frank was a graduate of South High School of Grand Rapids and held a bachelors degree in Business from MSU. He was the Assessor and Treasurer for the City of East Lansing and retired in 1989 with over 30 years of service. Frank was an Advocate for the American Osteopathic Association and the Michigan Osteopathic Association , past member of the East Lansing Lions Club, Past President of Michigan Finance Officers Association, founding member of the “Do Nothing Club”, past member of the East Lansing Rotary Club, and a member of the MOA 49’ers. Frank was a lifetime member of the Michigan State University Alumni Association and had season tickets for over 50 years for MSU Football. He loved ocean travel, reading current events and political commentaries, golf, bowling and he enjoyed his Arizona home part of the year.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Carol Monson, D.O.; daughter, Lynda (Dennis) Patriarche; sons, Michael (Donna Carlson) Warden and Greg (Gerry) Warden; grandchildren, Katie (Dan) Bennett, Jeff (Mandy) Patriarche, Alex and Erick Warden; and his sister, Ann Carpenter.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012, 12:00 pm, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, from 5-8 pm and one hour prior to the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Osteopathic College Fund, c/o University Development, Michigan State University, 300 Spartan Way, East Lansing, MI 48824-9911 in Frank’s memory.
