George Clayton Taylor

Lansing, MI

George Clayton Taylor was born on January 3, 1931 in Lansing and passed away August 5, 2016 at the age of 85.

He served his country in the U.S. Army and Navy in the Korean War. He was a member of the Lansing Capitol City Chordsmen and truly loved barbershop singing. In addition, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, baking cookies and making pizzas.

George was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Arlene Taylor and one great granddaughter, Samantha. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mike (Deb) Taylor, Pat (John) Lorraine and Dave (Julie) Taylor; grandchildren, Steve (Abby) Taylor, Nick (Amee) Taylor, Danielle (Bryan) Jahnke, Jimmy Lorraine, Amanda Taylor, Greg Lorraine and Elizabeth Taylor; great grandchildren, Reese, Olivia, Silas, Lottie and Finn.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 4:00~8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E.
