She graduated East Lansing High School in 1948 and would later earn her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
Marilyn worked and retired from the State of Michigan, Department of Treasury. Marilyn was an avid painter who also enjoyed traveling the world.
She is survived by her two nieces; Susan (Bill) Keiser, Sally (Phil) Clark; her nephew Steve (Carolyn) Spalding; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and dear friends Gloria, John and Rosemary. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother; John (Mary Ellen Doyle) Spalding.
In keeping with her wishes private services will be held.
